I have always been inspired by cute mason jars decorated with twine or yarn. I decided to create a design of my own using yarn. I attached the yarn to this glass vase with watered down Elmer's glue.

Review for a Carson Lighted Attach-a-Mag
Stop the presses! I have something really awesome to share with you today! I have been very frustrated lately that I am unable to see detail when I'm working on a project, especially while designing jewelry. But now I've found a product I have fallen in love with. It is the Carson AM-20 Lighted Attach-A-Mag. It is a LED lighted magnafier that is magnified to a power of 2x.

Tassel necklace you can make in 30 minutes!
Orange and blue antique brass tassel necklace.
I whipped up this cute necklace with a orange and blue tassle in just 30 minutes! I needed to accessorize an outfit for my day job. It was so easy!

The chain is a Metal Gallery 30" Antique Brass Large Cable Necklace. The reason I could make this necklace so fast is because this chain has the lobster clasp already. I used 3 caps, which are also by Metal Gallery. I also used a heavy duty large jump ring, and 3 small ones, plus three eye pins. Metal Gallery jewelry can be purchased at Hobby Lobby at reasonable prices.

I used cross stich thread for the tassels! I just love tassels. I'm excited to see them trendy right now.

Hydrangeas Wreath for Fall
For my mother-in-law, a more traditional fall wreath design was what I had in mind. I saw this design over and over again on Pinterest. I loved the design and didn't veer off from what I had seen. This wreath was simple and very elegant to me. I just loved the two different colored hydrangeas together. I even saw more designs using three colors, which were very pretty too.

A work space in my craft room
Ever need a space where you can get really messy?
I pinned several ideas for cutting tables, work tables, etc., etc. for my craft room. But, in the end I decided I didn't have room to create something really big. So, I came up with this.
Crafts from the heart...t-shirt quilt for my daughter!
Making a t-shirt quilt is a way to create from the heart! One thing I love about being a crafter is how special it is when you can create something that says how much you love a person, or that reminds a person of special times in their life, or when you create something that will last a life time and be passed down to the next generation. A t-shirt quilt does all those things!

Repurposed cabinet used as a mosaic project.
My largest mosaic project to date!
We purchased two of these 3-drawer cabinets a few years ago from a local thrift store. I had them in a closet storing Beanie Babies, CDs, DVDs, and other things.
More decorative storage for my craft room.
I have lots of ceramic tiles for mosaics! I had them in a ugly yellow organizer that is used for screws and nails, etc. That storage idea would have been fine in a closet or on a shelf, but why not get fancy with it! Ideas from Pinterest got my mind flowing!!

I had such fun with this project. I found the draw pulls at Hobby Lobby, who had so many choices it was difficult to make up my mind! I also used decorative items from the scrapbooking section.
An AHA moment! Spools used for craft room lamp!
You ever see an item, and all of a sudden, you actually get an idea! It's one of those aha moments! This doesn't happen to me often! I usually the one copying ideas to make them my own. But, I'll have to say, this one is of my own rare originals!
I saw these two different sized antique-looking spools of twine at Hobby Lobby and it immediagely said LAMP to me! I loved the colors of the twine in the smaller spool. And, the twine, plus the spools brought together the theme in my craft room! I found the lamp kit at Home Depot.
Storage ideas for your craft room
Tools! Fabric! Paints! Tiles! Beads! I could go on and on! I always need more places or ideas on how to store the things in my craft room! Here are a few ideas on how to use decor to store items in a craft room. Again, pins, pins, pins and I'm not talking now about sewing pins! Pinterest gave me lots of ideas on how to use decorating ideas to store my tools! My fav is how to use peg board!
I had someone at Lowe's cut peg board that could be inserted into picture frames I found frames at Hobby Lobby. I painted the peg board and my frames the same color. By the way, I used Anne Sloan chalk paint and dark wax for this project (another post later).
